Welcome to Ulpatha Collective, where style meets innovation

Ulpatha Collective was born to challenge the way fashion borrows from culture. Too often, traditional garments are copied without recognition. We do things differently.

‘Ulpatha’ means “spring” or “source” in Sinhala. Our designs return fashion to their source — drawing inspiration from the sari, dupatta, kurta, and other South Asian traditions, while shaping them into styles for today’s world. We also embrace digital innovation to create a unique fashion experience. Customers can use our virtual reality app to try on designs from anywhere, making shopping more accessible and engaging. Each piece comes with a QR code that unlocks the story behind the design — its cultural heritage, the artisans involved, and the sustainable techniques used.

With South Asian roots and an Australian upbringing, our founder brings the best of both worlds: respect for heritage and an eye for modern design. Combined with artisan partnerships, ethical Australian manufacturing, and cutting-edge digital tools, Ulpatha Collective delivers fashion that matters — fashion with meaning.
